After nigh on 32 years after "being Birted out," lovely expression that and 15 years on here also a Junior Member whatever that may mean I agree with you that that news article was abysmal. You could just as easily put The Sun, The Daily Mail, The Daily Mirror or the Daily Record at the top and been non the wiser. Sad, sad sad!

Today's online editions dig even deeper into the mire with "Dogs vie for attention at prime pooch pageant". There was a time when the BBC treated Crufts as something sacrosanct. I am no dog lover but I hate to see man's best friend being treated in this way.Worse...that the nation's best friend, thje BBC, is being reduced to mongrel status with no pedigree.
