John Burder - Any help would be much appreciated
Apr 12th, 2023, 6:17pm
A very dear friend of mine is extremely ill and l would like to make any of his former colleagues aware and even perhaps find a few of them for John whilst he is still alive.

Based on his serious condition, sadly l feel he doesn't have very long left at all and it's heartbreaking for us all.

John Burder started at the BBC working as the editor of the 1st episode of Dr Who, he joined the BBC at the time David Attenborough was filming Zoo Quest and he work on Dad's Army, the Queen's Christmas Message and much more. After leaving the BBC he went to make films and direct small intimate autobiographic films with many stars such as David Niven when he briefly lived with him in Cap Ferrat and made films with Vincent Price, Tommy Steele, Peter Ustinov, Rex Harrison, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers etc...

I have skipped to the section of his time at the BBC. Hopefully with all your help we can track down some of his friends and colleagues which would mean the world to him in the short time he has left with us.

Thank you for caring.

Kindest regards,
