Henry McDonald, the prolific Northern Ireland journalist and author, died in mid February. He was 57 and had been treated for cancer.
Henry, who grew up in the Markets area of Belfast, specialised in security and politics, and worked in the BBC's Belfast newsroom as a Security Correspondent. He had previously reported for the Irish News and the Evening Press in Dublin. After the BBC he served as Ireland Correspondent for The Observer and later also The Guardian, writing a number of non-fiction books and novels.
