The 22.00 BBC1 News now seems to be an exact replica of the 18.00 bulletin-if not the re-run (R.O.T. if anyone remembers that phrase). If it's all about keeping studios free of people for much of the time-then why not bring Newsnight forward by half an hour and ditch the bulletin?
Another point. Yesterday, coverage of  the late running 17.00 No 10 briefing was interrupted at 17.58 by a switch to the Weather Forecast-prior to the 18.00 bulletin. This was during the critical and interesting questions section of this important daily press conference . Not a good editorial decision.
