BBC Scottish Radio Orchestra

The NDO was a superb orchestra in the north of England. In Scotland we also had a fantastic "light" orchestra, the Scottish Radio Orchestra. Please take a look at these websites for a history of the SRO and photos of many players:

It was my pleasure to be the principal sound balancer in radio for the SRO for around 20 years. My boss, Alan Bunting, looked after the SRO in TV.
