I'm sorry to announce the death of John Elfes, on 15th Oct., after a stroke, following a serious fall. He had a long & successful career at the Beeb - from Engineer at AP, Senior Engineering Manager at KA to Head of Lighting at TVC. He then moved to Cardiff for a stint as HPRE and ended at HWH as Chief Engineer, Regions, retiring in 1998. That's not including his Union involvement within the ABS.  A Celebration of his life will be held at Amersham Crematorium on 8th Dec at 1100.
