A truly lovely man. A giant in every sense. A great TV OB Producer, yachtsman and friend, even to a Radio OB rival. He did all the big jobs, faultlessly. I knew he had been ill for a long time with cancer, but I was following his exercise programme on Strava and it became clear that things were not going well when the Strava app reported trips in a wheelchair. Rest in peace, Neil.

Those who knew or worked with him might like to know that Neil Eccles' funeral will take place tomorrow, 29th November at 1300.
