Following many years of bravely borne debilitating illness, my longterm, very dear friend and colleague BBC Costume Designer Velma (Buckle) Reed died in Hospital on Friday 30th September. She had previously asked me to write her Obituary for Prospero, which of course I will be honoured to do.
Impeccably organised as always she has carefully masterminded her departure, I'm told her affairs are all in perfect order. I have no further details to offer at this time except to say that she has even organised her own tasteful flower arrangements! (typical designer)
