Jill Daniels

It is with considerable personal sadness that I bring news that .. Jill Daniels has passed away, on the morning of 7th Sept 2021.

Born on the first day of Spring in 1947, it seems that she suffered a number of heart attacks whilst undergoing chemotherapy for a very-recently-discovered lymphoma.

For many years Jill had been Personnel Officer for Radios One and Two, later becoming Personnel Manager for BBC Radio Operations, before moving on to become the Personnel Manager for Libraries & Archives, from whence she took 'early retirement' in 2000, at a time when the personnel administration of the whole BBC was 'undergoing reductions'!

For over 30 years she had lived with her partner Tony Giles in Bishops Stortford, where she was involved in fundraising for a number of local and national charities, raising many thousands of pounds in the process. Our thoughts are with Tony at this very sad time.

Details as to her her funeral are yet to be determined.
