May 1st, 2018, 3:00pm

We have received information from the family of Dennis Kettle who was involved in lighting many popular BBC TV series, and who died on the 19th April.
Dennis worked for the BBC from 1959 until 1993.

Dennis had been lighting electrician and gaffer on programmes such as Bergerac, Lovejoy, Panorama, Carrie’s War, Silas Marner and “Tribal Eye” (David Attenborough).

He'd worked on a documentary about Gracie Fields on Capri and on a “Blue Peter” special, when HRH The Princess Anne returned to “Treetops”.

Dennis’ funeral will be at -  Mortlake Crematorium, Kew Meadow Path, Townmead Road, Richmond TW9 4EN at 12.40 on Monday May 14th.

Afterwards at - Greenrod Place, Clayponds Lane, Brentford, TW8 0BN

If you wish to contact the family, please contact the site Admin., either by email or ‘DM’ this post- information will be passed-on.

His family also ask if anyone can add to Dennis’ BBC history, in particular, they are looking for a very special picture….they wrote..

(Somewhere there is a picture of dad helping to push the Land-Rover out of a ditch when it got stuck on this trip (Blue Peter- Treetops), I saw it at a BBC exhibition, but have not been able to locate it since.)

So if you can attend, or can help with the search for this particular picture, please contact ‘Admin’.
