Just to let people who knew him know .. that Nick Hartree has passed away, on 27th April 2017, of a brain tumour. He was aged 69.
He leaves a wife, Mayuko.

He joined the BBC in January 1970 on TO Course 33, and spent many years working in LCR, during which time he also did work for BBC Radio London, as well as much travelling.
He became a News SM in 1989.
