Contacting the BBC
Aug 5th, 2016, 10:17am

Has anybody recently tried contacting the BBC with a query? A friend wanted to enquire about an RAF Documentary shown some years ago which had been pertinent to her Father. Knowing I had been Staff she asked me for a number to call. Having scoured all the online options 40 exasperated minutes later i had only come up with 2 possible solutions neither of which bore fruit. My friend is now resorting to taking a bus to Broadcasting House and discussing the matter in person at reception. In the old days one dialled a number, explained the nature of enquiry and was redirected to the relevant department. All this BOX TICKING and VOICE MAIL is completely hopeless as it presupposes the topic. Honestly! National Communicators?
