Steve Becker, senior broadcast journalist at BBC Lancashire died today whilst driving on the M6 to cover a news story. He was suddenly taken ill, and no other vehicles were involved.

56 year-old Steve had worked for the BBC for more than 30 years, latterly as the BBC's Blackpool and Fylde-coast reporter.
