PBS America on Freesat
Oct 8th, 2015, 12:03pm

PBS America is scheduled to launch on the UK Freesat platform on Saturday 31st October on channel 160.

The channel has been available on other pay-TV platforms in the UK. (Virgin Media 276 and SKY 534).

The PBS America schedule is here.

The channel is Public Broadcasting Service’s first outside of the US, having first launched as a pay TV network in the UK in 2011.

PBS is America's largest classroom, the United States' largest stage for the arts and valued window on the world. Loved for its quality output since 1969, PBS is a private, non-profit corporation funded by donations, which has been rated America's most trusted institution for more than 10 consecutive years.

Run by a British team based in London, PBS America marries the best new shows with treasures hand-picked from PBS's extensive archive to offer British viewers a different view of America.
