Another petition
Oct 4th, 2015, 10:09pm

This petition claims to be the only one that will actually be counted as a valid 'comment' when the time comes for John Whittingdale, (Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport)  to discuss the future of The BBC.

"To: Department for Culture, Media and Sports,

To: John Whittingdale, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport,

I value BBC services and #BacktheBBC,

In response to your public consultation on the future of the BBC I would like :

To continue the same universal BBC services providing a broad range of programmes for all - popular entertainment, education and news.
An independent BBC, protected from politically motivated government interference.
No cuts to any BBC services or funding - Online, TV or Radio."

"......[This petition] sends a new email directly to the Government's consultation team each time a new signature is received. Not all BBC petitions do this; most other BBC petitions with 20,000 to 320,000 signatures aren't being counted as part of the public consultation because they email David Cameron or don't email the Government charter renewal consultation team for each new signature."
