BBC Doomed?
May 18th, 2015, 3:58pm

James O'Malley offers his opinion in "Gizmodo" here.

He compares the BBC to the NHS, and describes the BBC as a 'weird anomaly of the 21st century'.
He refers to the old technology and then new ways of viewing BBC material, including the availability of "Radio One"-type music on YouTube- on the BBC Radio One channel.

He ends on a positive note, however.

Meanwhile, Steve Hewlett (of Radio Four's "The Media Show") writes in "The Guardian" about the "iPlayer loophole".
He discusses the BBC's reluctance to utilise the information gleaned from every iPlayer download to check TV Licence ownership.
