Channel Ping Pong-sunday morning-1/2
Feb 1st, 2015, 10:58am

The Schedulers were out in force this morning -sunday 1/2-for BBC 1. Poor old Match of the Day and Andrew Marr kicked from BBC 1 into BBC2 touch to be replaced by Andy Murray all morning on BBC 1. I suppose we should be used to this channel hoppity hop these days. However-did anyone notice there were obviously "duty office" complaints since tennis commentator Sue barker was thrice tasked to patronisingly cross trail that Marr was now available on 2!

Oh dear-Clearly someone in Scheduling is angling for promotion. On the other hand- someone senior needs to wake up and save Scheduling grief and labour by utilising the Red button or the redundant BBC3.

This is exactly my point regarding "BBC 3".

Trouble is that BBC3 shares satellite and freeview space with Childrens tele so can't be used during the day.
I wonder what will happen to those channels if ever BBC3 goes "online" only?

Some months ago the BBC press office stated...

"Children’s programmes on CBBC would be extended by two hours per night as a result of the proposal, which also includes launching a catch-up channel, BBC One + 1 – making programmes more available to people who do not use BBC iPlayer or have access to broadband. "

And then there is the bandwidth occupied by BBC Parliament.

Surely there must be a better way than swopping programmes, cancelling programmes, dropping programmes...

Priorities?
