Fun in Executive Land

The current edition of Private Eye has a follow-up to the news that a new theme park in Kent will have rides based on BBC shows.

BBC Theme Park to feature 'Executive Land'
by Joy Ride

The BBC has confirmed that alongside Strictly Come Dancing World, Top Gear Island and Doctor Who Planet, the new BBC Theme Park opening in 2015 will feature Executive Land.

“Executive Land will be a full interactive experience where the visitors will actually be able to play the role of a BBC executive, rising up through the Corporation, awarding themselves massive pay rises and bonuses along the way,” said a BBC spokesman.

“To reach the peak of Executive Land you will have to walk across multi-platforms, and see breathtaking views of Blue Skies thinking.

“Then you will climb the greasy pole by sacking journalists and cutting programme budgets until you reach the overflowing Fountain of Cash.

“We believe the thrills and spills of BBC Executive Land will give the public a never-before-seen understanding of the unique way their licence fee is used to think up idiotic ideas like this.”
