It has been noted that the new cover-price of "The Observer"

£2.90 every Sunday-   

(52x £2.90 = £150.90)

is now more than the UK TV Licence.

(£145.50).

Interesting comparison--but the Licence fee-or alternative  is bound to bounce up big time very soon....or am I wrong here?

Not for another 2 years. Mark Thompson accepted a 6 year deal which froze the licence feee at the current  £145.50 level 'til 2016.
