Is the future of Salford safe. Watching Breakfast this morning not only was there the usual lack of guests on the sofa I noticed Rory Cellan-Jones did his contibution from his front room in West Ealing (very strange eye line!)
Perhaps the next stage is for all the presenters, newsreaders etc to stay at home and do  it from their own front rooms or even from bed.  That would save some money. Sad thing is that possibly this is not a jok or too far from the truth!!

What evidence is there that this laughing stock show informs educates or even perversely entertains?
I suspect that it is a serious editorial challenge for the Powers That Be . If it isn't--then it should be on a matter of some urgency-Action please-New DG.
