Frank Fell
Nov 7th, 2012, 5:27pm

We are sorry to hear of the loss of Frank Fell, a Rigger/Driver Supervisor for BBC Scotland from 1967 to the early eighties. He was based at the BBC's OB facility in East Kilbride.

His son Andrew tells us –

“My dad passed away on 6th of November, Tuesday morning, in Lindsayfield care home in East Kilbride. It was all a shock to us going so quick.

He had broken his hip in Sept 2011 and couldn`t go back to the house, so in Febuary he went into Lindsayfield care home which up till now he enjoyed.

We are having the funeral at Linn Crematorium on friday the 16th of November at 3pm you are All most welcome to come along."

Those of us who are old enough to remember Frank, have many fond memories of adventures shared, in many corners of Scotland, sometimes in warm sunny weather, sometimes in great discomfort through rain, sleet, or snow, but always having a laugh, and always ending up with a cup of that great elixir, - "Riggers' Tea"!
