Ariel has an article regarding the status of the BBC Pension Fund.
It can be found here:-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/ariel/14809477
"The BBC pension fund deficit has grown slightly in the past year, to £1.49bn, up from £1.1bn in 2010."
Chairman of the Trustees, Jeremy Peat said:-
""Whilst our investments grew by more than was expected, lower assumed investment returns have added more to the cost of providing pensions built up to date over the year. You should be reassured that the BBC remains committed to filling the funding gap.""
