Is the BBC the government's new cash resource?
Oct 20th, 2010, 5:23pm

On top of funding S4C (why? it's a commercial station?), World Service (It sell the UK abroad) now it seems the beeb is to provide £300M for Broadband roll out in the rural areas.   Why not the big Telecomms companies that make billions of profit out of us?

"The BBC has agreed to contribute £300m towards the £530m total cost of funding rural broadband."
