"The Extranet Project"
For a long time our friends at The BBC PA have been pressing for an on-line "Memory Bank", using the collective memories of ex-BBC Staff.
As you might have noticed in the recent edition of "Prospero" they are having some success, and are now asking for volunteers to take part in the pilot next year.
This is from their web-site.
"The Association has been pressing for a system by which the unwritten history held in the collective memory of BBC pensioners could be recorded before it disappears.
Recently there has been fruitful discussions to move our ideas forward with the BBC's Director, Archive Content, Roly Keating, and Controller BBC Archive, Tony Ageh. If you'd like to take part in the pilot early next year please register your interest either by email to David Allen at extranet@bbcpa.org.uk or via the Contact Us form, or to our postal Address: BBCPA, PO Box 230, Alton, Hants, GU34 9AR."
So if you are interested, please check-out their web-site at :-
