New buildings
The BBC's new "media village" - five new buildings on the White City site - is to be opened on Wednesday May 12.
There is a large amount of information available from
this page
of the BBC Web site.
Historic buildings
There are also information pages about the history of 10 BBC buildings, nine of them in the London area, plus Wood Norton.
These are available from
this page
on the BBC Web site.

Pamela,
I am sorry that I can't provide any photos of Dickenson Road Studios but I would like to say that I learnt a lot from your father when I was posted to Manchester for two years on joining the BBC.
I hope you make progress with your Dad's life story, family history can be very rewarding if not a little frustrating at times.
Regards,
John Noakes

thank you for your reply i know my father always enjoyed passing on his knowledge and his work at the bbc was important to him as much as his family.

Pamela,
I have found one photo of Dickenson Road but it is not of the outside of the building. See this web site
http://www.bakerlite.co.uk/beeb.htm
The Manchester Evening News has many references to the Dickenson Road Studio and so I wonder if they might have photos.

Malcolm Carr has posted a photo of Dickenson Road Studios on the tech-ops website:
http://tech-ops.co.uk/phpBB2/index.php
and I've just transferred it to Wikipedia:

As well as such programmes as Top of the Pops, Juke Box Jury, and Dee Time - Dickenson Road produced a lot of children's programmes, Sooty, Pinky & Perky, etc.....

Jan & Vlasta Dalibor with Bertie Bonkers & Morton Frog on a BBC Camera (maybe even at Dickenson Road) from
Pinky and Perky Show 1960's
