Staff advertise support for Dyke
Jan 31st, 2004, 9:13am

BBC staff paid for an advertisement in the Daily Telegraph in support of Greg Dyke.  It read:

"Greg Dyke stood for brave, independent and rigorous journalism that was fearless in its search for the truth.

"We are resolute that the BBC should not step back from its determination to investigate the facts in pursuit of the truth.

"We are dismayed by Greg's departure, but we are determined to maintain his achievements and his vision for an independent organisation that serves the public above all else."

It was apparently organised by the "Making it Happen" unit set up by Dyke to speed through change at the BBC.
