 I got a message today to say Don Brind died on the 3rd of February 2026.
Don joined BBC TV News as TV News Producer. He is remembered for his active part in the strike of June 1989 when both the NUJ and ABS staff members stood outside the gates of TV Centre.
He was a Director of the BBC Pension Trust Ltd, 1991 -1996.
He went on to be the BBC Lobby correspondent and the Labour party Press Officer. He wrote speeches for Jeremy Corbyn and articles for "The Week" magazine.
He had a stroke and about 2 years ago he was admitted to a nursing home where he died.
No funeral details announced.
