This from The Goon Shiw Preservation Society site:  
A bit of sad news for folk. John Antrobus, script writer, playwright, who worked with 'the team' quite a bit and Spike especially: wrote two Goon Shows, came up with the idea for Bed Sitting Room and co-wrote it with Spike, wrote sketches for Idiot's Weekly and the Freds + worked with Johnny Speight and others. Wrote many plays with a large number performed, especially during 60s and 70s, died yesterday morning, 15th December. Aged 92 years, 56 years sober, of which he was very proud. Love and Peace...
