It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of Roy Anthony Clifford (a.k.a Roy deClifford) on Saturday 10th May, 2025.

Born in 1944, Roy had been a long-serving member of London's BH Control Room Technical Operations staff, eventually becoming a Broadcast Duty Manager in 1989 until his retirement.

Although he'd been 'unwell' for the past couple of years - thought to be due to complications caused by Long Covid - following some revised treatment Roy's health had appeared to be slowly recovering, until a recent deterioration in his condition which led to his death.

Whilst the family await a medical examiner’s pronouncement on the exact cause of death, they are unable to make any funeral arrangements.
