BBC TV "More Value"
Dec 8th, 2020, 12:49pm

The BBC Press office web-site announces:-

"Chief Content Officer, Charlotte Moore announces a major restructure of BBC television to deliver more value to audiences across all platforms".

"This simpler, more streamlined system will create greater flexibility to deliver world-beating, distinctive programmes for audiences, whether they want to watch them live or on-demand. It will mark the end of the 'twin tick' between genres and channels, whilst the remit and responsibility of the genre directors is expanded."

More about the changes, here.

So the chess pieces are being shuffled again, this time with White and Black Pieces on one side of the board whilst the pawns who contribute most linger on the opposite side. Thank goodness pawns can take diagonally, hopefully to improve the output over the high opinioned pieces. By the way have the 2 Kings Castled to hide from the blast?

I see from the BBC's release, regarding the new Controllers/Directors/etc that ...

"BBC Three remains unchanged, with Fiona Campbell as Controller who will retain a commissioning tick"

Just made me wonder whether any of the affectations displayed in wonderful 'W1A' are now actually a requirement for a senior job?  Cool Cheesy

Not sure John W whether the "Tick" referred to is one of approval and congratulations or a "Tic" causing an involuntary movement in face muscles!
