DG's New Year Speech
Jan 15th, 2020, 3:54pm

From the BBC Media Centre, here is Tony Hall's speech to staff which refers to moving staff.

He ends by saying:-

"We have to make the case for the BBC. Continually. We shouldn’t be defensive about it. We should demonstrate again and again why we matter. Why we’re different. Why we’re unique. How we’re owned by everybody. How we exist to serve all audiences, not shareholders. How our bottom line is simple - it's creative brilliance and impartial journalism for everyone. That’s what sets us apart. That’s why people come here to do the work of their lives. And that’s, in the end, why all of us feel so passionate about this amazing organisation".
