LBC to go national 28/10.Time for change at R5?

LBC-straight rolling news, no phone ins, a proper news channel, goes national tomorrow, giving R5 gentle countrywide competition.

The latter has always been pushed as a News and Sports network, leaving it open to criticism that it satisfies neither news addicts or sports fans.

IDEA-Why not put that right straight away by keeping R5 wholly focussed on news , closing R5e and opening a dedicated BBC Sport radio network-R7?
