Chef Rick Stein has announced the death of his friend and producer David Pritchard.

In the "early 80's" David was a producer at BBC Plymouth before he ventured into 'Cooking Programmes' with many famous chefs amongst whom were Keith Floyd and Rick Stein.

BBC News has a tribute to David, here.

About two years ago, David was interviewed by Chris Allnutt for "The Oxford Student" in which David describes his way into TV, and how he and Keith Floyd conceived their first venture- on a tablecloth.

David was Creative Director at Denhams- a production company formed by Chris Denham 35 years ago in the South West of England.
