Andy Lewis, a former assistant editor in the BBC radio newsroom, has died suddenly at the age of 64. He died after a fall at his home in Minehead on April 7.
Andy was a mainstay of the newsroom from the 1980s until his early retirement in 2008. He was very active in his local community as a volunteer with the Advice Bureau. He had served as secretary and treasurer of his branch of the West Somerset Labour Party and had been a town councillor in Minehead for three years.
