BBC MCR21 restoration project

My first posting,

As my colleagues, Ex of Kendal Avenue, will know I have a vintage OB van sat in my drive at home.

It's 53 years old! and a plan is afoot to restore it back to it's original condition and save it for another 53 years.

So I'm after help and information. I do have a lot of information about the equipment, circuits etc, but not much about exactly were it was fitted.

I need photos of the inside looking at the front from the cab, the inside of the middle showing the front equipment area and the back of the monitor stack. If you have anything at all showing any part of this, it would be of great help in drawing up the plans. Howard did send me two very helpful pictures, but more are needed.

I don't suppose anyone has the actual old construction plans? cable runs etc??

Next on the wants list is information about a couple of the equipment crates, these were known as "biscuit tins" type OT1/502 & OT1/503, It's likely that I will have to make these.

There many other bits needed I am making a long list.

I was hoping that some of the engineers from the regions might have information/pictures or even equipment.

I have put together a simple website about MCR21 and will add more to it. www.mcr21.org.uk

My main camera website is here www.tvcameramuseum.org

Best regards Brian Summers, late of Kendal Avenue.
