"Anchors" anchored.
Oct 15th, 2016, 12:56pm

According to this "Guardian" report, the main BBC News presenters will be restrained from being parachuted into the news 'hot-spot'. This will, it is said, result in a 10% saving.

"The BBC’s star presenters will be grounded at home instead of parachuted in to cover big stories around the world, it has emerged, as more cost-cutting measures from the corporation begin to bite."

Forthcoming coverage of the US elections is expected to be constrained.

Good news.
Since many people are increasingly following BBC News editorial on line via the app-surely they just want the fastest accurate written reports?.Current Affairs conjecture and reaction from an overseas sunny TV location is indeed poor value for the licence payer.
