Barry Littlechild
May 22nd, 2016, 10:20pm

Barry, who was in Radio Production for about 30 years, initially as a trainee Studio Manager and then as a producer, has died.

According to this report in "The Kent and Sussex Courier", Barry retired about 20 years ago, and set up a cattery. He also created a small (15 seater) cinema in his garage and entertained groups of projection enthusiasts.

Thanks to Mike Stace for the information.

Sad news. Barry was the 'elder statesman' on our SMs Course in January 1975, already ensconced at Film Unit and really doing the training because it was 'expected of him' he said! We always enjoyed visiting him when he returned to his spiritual home amongst the film soundtrack reels and when we had our 30 year reunion after he'd retired, Barry was just the same enthusiast as ever - spot on obit in the local paper!

Very saddened to learn of Barry's death. Even during his time at T.F.S., he was a expert on the  technical specifications of film. He truly was a "Top man"
