Patricia - Pat Ewing was the first women Head of Radio Sport. Pat joined the department after a career as a Wren officer. Having worked on the admin side, Pat became head of the department before becoming Controller of the original Radio 5. After her retirement  she married the former Welsh Rugby Star Cliff Morgan and they retired to the Isle of Wight. Pat died on October 8th.
