We have heard that Geoffrey James has died suddenly, at home.

He was a senior producer on the 'Today' Programme for many years and was a well-loved character.

We have no further information.

The funeral for Geoff James will be held at All Saints Church, Long Ashton on Thursday Nov 5 at 1.30 and afterwards in the village hall. The church is at 74 Long Ashton Rd, Bristol BS41 9LE.
