Chantal Benjamin, who worked in public relations in several parts of the BBC, has died of cancer.  Chantal was a bubbly, witty and very popular colleague.  I think for a time she looked after Greg Dyke's press relations, when he was DG.

She was also head of the big BBC project to mark the 200th anniversary of Parliament's Abolition of the Slave Trade act, in 2007.  Her brother Leon, on his blog, posted this note, which captures both her enthusiasm and her effectiveness .
