We have received news that Robin Perkins, a Studio Manager during the late 50's and early 60's, died this week.

Robin later moved to BBC Personnel (possibly head of World Service Appointments when he retired) - working at 5 Portland Place and Bush House.

A BBC career man he delighted in his time at the corporation and enjoyed nothing more than telling his children and grandchildren about his various roles at the BBC.

Robin died peacefully on Monday at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife Margaret.

Details of his funeral will be announced in due course.
