Ryan Danes is trying to trace anyone that knew or worked with Sydney Newman.

Ryan is writing a biography with Sydney's family.


If you have any memories of working with Syd, please 'PM' admin and we shall put you in touch.

Canadian-born Sydney Newman was Head Of Drama at the BBC in 1962, having been at ABC TV previously. Amongst the programmes created during his time were The Avengers and Dr. Who.

Dear To Whom It May Concern,
Perhaps you can find a contact number for Irene Shubik, who was a producer on the BBC's Play For Today, ? Wednesday Play because she may have some recollection regarding Sydney Newman.  I think Irene is still with us ... Check Wikipedia to make sure.
