BBC NI in 1974
Oct 30th, 2014, 10:33am

Here is a link to a 1974 documentary (courtesy of iPlayer- only available in the UK and for a short time) made in Northern Ireland, and first shown on the 15th September 1979.

How the world has changed!

It is being shown again to celebrate 90 years of the BBC in Northern Ireland.

Thanks for the link, what an excellent piece of archive. Robin Walsh, Cecil Deeney, Barry Cowan, George McEvoy, just some of the wise heads who helped me find my feet in Norn Iron. And Derek Bell, in his role as harpist for the BBC Northern Ireland Orchestra, shortly before he joined The Chieftains. Hard to believe it's "only" 40 years old, though.
