Very good...my favourite BBC news bulletin is still the ultra conservative 18.00 hrs on Radio 4 . This thirty minute bulletin is a straightforward thorough news read broadcast accompanied by reports from relevant BBC correspondents. No conjecture, no political interviewing, no "special reports". Just the news bulletin.

My second favourite news "bulletin" is the BBC smartphone app- BBC News. Just categorised typed news items . Job done!

I tend to avoid BBC TV news which always seems as though it is competing with Sky and worst of all--still has that dreaded 1950's habit of only including items if there is visually exciting  Smileyfilm footage.
