Andy Tapley briefly describes the sound arrangements for "Strictly Come Dancing" as it has now moved to Elstree.

He refers to the 50 radio mic circuits, the band rig, and 22 audience mics.

I always had problems with a single Micron radio mic!

It cost a fortune in PP3 batteries.....

It's such a shame that with all that technology the vocals on guest singers appearances are still inaudible!

Very interesting but I thought that the sound mix was much better on the OB from Blackpool than it is from the normal studio! There was much less limiting and a lot more impact to the sound.
