The BBC News web-site has announced the death of Douglas Mounce. He was at Radio Devon for nearly 30 years.



In 2006 he produced a Radio 4 documentary called Under the Skin about performers who appear as animals in pantomimes.

In 2008, the BBC Devon site said:-

"Douglas is the only member of the BBC Radio Devon team who's been at the station since it first started broadcasting back in 1983, a true testament to his popularity in Devon."
