Carole Lacey
Jan 3rd, 2012, 11:21am

Carole Lacey died on New Year's Eve. She had been suffering from emphysema and had been housebound for over a year.
Carole joined the BBC as a typist in the Broadcasting House newsroom, working mainly on Today in Parliament. She then moved to radio newsreel and was with that department when This Time of Day, the forerunhner of the World at One was started. She became a producer and then a few years later regularly daily edited both WATO and PM.
Her husband, Julian Holland, predeceased her.
Details of the funeral arrangements will be published here shortly.

The funeral is at 12 noon on Thursday January 12th at St. Marylebone Crematorium (East Finchley Cemetery), East End Road, N2 0RZ.
The nearest tube station is East Finchley on the northern line, a ten minute walk away.
There will be a reception afterwards at Carole's old home, 40a Coolhurst Road.
