Paddy was a lovely man. He made the rip-n-reads fun, which is saying something. God bless him.

Paddy's funeral took place today, Weds. 4th May, at Colchester Crematorium at 3.30pm.
Former GNS colleagues, Dave Dunford, retired EDITOR GNS, and fellow News Telegraphists, Johnny Barrett & Roger Fleming were also in attendance.

A lovely man, indeed. May he RIP.  He was very kind to me when I entered the hectic newsroom in 1984 from a rather sleepy local radio station - and someone I was able to approach for help - as was a dear lady called Dot. If only the whole world was full of such kind, considerate people who retained humour in the sense of adversity.
