I'm writing a history of The Open University (which opened to students in 1971) and would be delighted to hear from people with memories of working on OU programmes. These were made at Alexandra Palace and later in Milton Keynes.
I am Daniel Weinbren, (d.weinbren@open.ac.uk) and I'd be happy to tell you more about the project. You can also find out about it at the blog -
