Pamela Reed
Sep 6th, 2009, 6:10pm

From "The Telegraph".

The 61-year-old hit her head on a table and was airlifted to hospital in Geneva where she was declared dead on arrival at hospital.
Mrs Reed, a former freelance presenter for Radio 4, had been married to businessman Timothy Reed for 36 years.
Mr Reed, 69, said: "She fell and hit her head very hard. It was a tragedy and a great shock.
"Her great attribute, which everyone has commented on, was her tremendous sense of fun. She could walk into a room and light the place up."
An inquest was opened and adjourned at Sheffield Coroner's Court. A post mortem found Mrs Reed died of a head injury.
A coroner's spokesman said the inquest would be concluded after her records had been sent to South Yorkshire by the British embassy in France.
Mrs Reed was a founding staff member at Radio Sheffield when it started in the 1960s and worked as a reporter and presenter.
She left in 1974 and worked as a freelance on programmes including You and Yours on Radio 4.
Mr Reed, who is retired, is a former chairman of saw maker W Tyzack and Sons and Turner Ltd. He was also a partner at a Sheffield firm of solicitors, Broomheads and Neals.

It was a beautiful and peaceful service for Pamela at a packed Sheffield Cathedral for this highly respected lady- afterwards speeches and tributes were paid by family, civic dignitaries and the current Master of the Cutlers Hall, where Pamela and her husband had in a previous year been Master and Mistress Cutler for Sheffield Hallamshire Area.
